Is Water the Best Place to Invest Your Money?
Let’s get one thing clear (I’ve had to answer this question a ton!) – there is really no way to directly invest in water. It’s not like fuel, or oil, or gold, or copper. You can’t just stock up on it. I mean, I guess you could. You could by some fifty-gallon drums. Or build a pond. Or a well. But you can’t invest in this commodity like you can in many others.
In the attached article I explain the concept and theme of investing in water – and try to make a compelling case why it should be in your portfolio.
I do think that investing in water right, with many factors in today’s world, is likely a great idea. At least so far, the investment portfolio at Motif Investing is up – and it’s beating the market.
Granted, this is a long-term play. Not weeks or months. But years, and likely, many years.
We make it pretty easy for investors to follow us and piggy back on our hard work – we created a permanent portfolio at Motif Investing that allows us add and subtract to it. Investors in this portfolio will get notices of when I’ve added or subtracted or rebalanced it. Investors will be able to choose whether they want to do the same. Investors can even eliminate or add to my stocks in the portfolio.
Pretty cool stuff.
As with all of our portfolios at Motif Investing, I’m not suggesting this is an investment that’s right for you, or for anyone else. Consult with your financial advisor. Do your homework. And make your choices. If you want to see additional disclosures, please check them out on our home page.
